Lots of selection, decent price and nice employees
GCP is a good comprehensive wine and liquor store (for beer, go next door, literally). They have plenty of less expensive brands in large sizes, but also a reasonable selection, particularly given the demand in this neighborhood, of mid-range imported vineyards. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot out front and frequent complimentary tastings inside, especially from Finger Lakes wineries, where the regular staff is approchable and helpful.

GCP is a local institution! Really don't know why anyone would give GCP less than 5 stars. First - the selection is mind-boggling. Pretty much any wine or spirit in general distribution is on the shelf there - and if it isn't they'll get it for you ASAP as long as it's available via normal channels (don't expect them to get you a case of '29 Bordeaux from Sotheby's... but you know what I mean). Secondly I don't think you'll meet or beat their prices or case discounts anywhere in the Northeast. and 3rd - the people who work there know their wine and booze. The only downside for me - GCP is a 45 minute drive so need to plan it around other errands. I do wish they'd spend a few bucks on a modern website so we could at least see inventory and maybe reserve or advance-order without having to make the trek.
