When I came here from saint petes I was able to take a book bag and a purse on here than I go to go back home from Elmira and tell me I can't take my purse I had to squish everything in my book bag and even throw out stuff.. smh never again will I go through this airport
Really a flight from St Pete/Tampa is 4 hrs late and they find out the skyjack doesn't work so they make people wait 45 minutes to get off and on the plane. Not acceptable! Not only that if it's not fixed they don't have stairs tall enough to reach the plane. Somebody needs to be fired. NO BACK UP PLAN, ITS BEING RUN BY A BUNCH OF IDIOTS
Only services two airlines. You can go to Detroit or Florida. Flights to Florida are regularly delayed. TSA staff are friendly. Food and beverages are before check points and beverages purchased before cannot be taken through. Even sealed bottles. They must be purchased from a vending machine on opposite side of the check point.
Great regional airport. Not a lot of traffic, but Delta and Allegiant offer good connecting hubs. The long-term parking rates are quite reasonable. The TSA lines are usually pretty quick. The airport often has better rates and connections than the other nearby regionals.
Taking off in a small plane here is a bit easier than some other places that we have to get the FAA 5100-131 forms filled out.
